    More from Coco Gauff:

Does she come in with more confidence having won two titles back-to-back?

“I don’t think about the two titles. They’re in the past andI’m really focused on this tournament. I’ve been in this position before on thetour and the Grand Slam level.

"I think I have confidence in myself that I can goeven further and honestly thank you guys for the support today.

“I know Caroline has a lot of fans but it was clear playingin America, being American it doesn’t matter who you play, as long as its notanother American you guys are going to support me.”

What about the family and coach dynamic?

"My whole box were cheering for me. They’re the ones that aregiving me the game plan. Sometimes I do tell them to chill a little bit.

"Ilike to think and figure out matches my own way. Their advice helps, I dolisten but sometimes it’s a stress reaction.

“The one thing that’s different is that my dad’s not in thebox anymore because he gets too nervous. He’s been doing laps around thestadium. I don’t know if he can hear me but I felt his good energy even if I couldn’tsee him.”

  5. 'It's like Caroline never left'

Coco Gauff advances to the quarter-finals - and here's what she had to say in her on-court interview:

Tough match, what was the turning point?

“Definitely getting it to 2-1 in the last set was the turning point. I gotbroken in the first game and showed I was still in the match after breakingback.

"I was still being aggressive but Caroline’s back and it’s likeshe never left. The level that she’s played today is really amazing, and she’s beenan inspiration for me growing up.

“It’s a little bit weird. I grew up watching Caroline, Iremember watching her win the Australian Open when everybody was saying all sorts of things about her.

“So to be out on the court with her today was an honour.”

Was it like playing a version of yourself?

“She definitely gets to a lot of balls. I felt like sometimesI was playing myself anticipating it and getting that one extra ball back.

“Today I knew I had to play aggressive and I know I had gofor my shots. In some moments I missed but I’m happy I was able to get back andfocus. She’s a player you have to be mentally tough every single point. She’snot going to back down and that’s what I did today.”
