Why is this bad?
As there is a distinctive gap in the level of difficulty between Enderman Slayer, and Zombie, Spider, and Wolf Slayer that current Auto-Slayer requirements do not account for.
Who does this affect?Current Auto-Slayer requirements affect new mid/late-game players that despite easily meeting the necessary zombie, spider and wolf slayer requirements, cannot meet the necessary enderman slayer requirements due to the immense gap in difficulty.
What makes this unfair for newer players?
Current Auto-Slayer requirements provide an inequitable experience for newer mid/late-game players as they cannot grind zombie, spider and wolf slayers as efficiently as all players prior to the introduction of Enderman slayer. This is because Enderman slayer did not exist, hence there was no enderman slayer requirement in the Auto-Slayer.
Ultimately, the sudden introduction of the enderman slayer requirement and its associated difficulty resulted in Auto-Slayer's attainability for both current and new players significantly decreasing, up to the present day.
Factors to consider in changing Auto-Slayer requirements:
- The difficulty and practicality of attaining Auto-Slayer, not too easy - not too hard.
- The economic impacts of a more accessible Auto-Slayer.
- A more efficient way for more people to grind RNG drops -> higher volume of supply//idle demand = lower prices.
- A counter-cyclical structure that mitigates higher prices perpetuated by the absence of supply deriving from the Museum update, again making items more accessible for players.- The opinions of players, both old and new, who either feel cheated out of the tedious grind they went through to use auto-slayer, or feel cheated out of their inability to use the auto-slayer with its previous requirements.
How can current Auto-Slayer requirements be altered to resolve this problem?
1. By removing the enderman slayer level requirement entirely (essentially reverting to the old model).
2. By lowering the enderman slayer level requirement to account for its level of difficulty.
3. Concurrently implementing suggestion 1 or 2 with an increase in the level requirement of zombie, spider and wolf slayer.
4. Transitioning from one Auto-Slayer for all slayer-types to -> four Auto-Slayers (one for each mob) with requirements respective to it's slayer type. *my favourite
Brief overview of my proposed alterations:
I won't go much into suggestions 1-3, however, I will elaborate a little on my favourite suggestion of transitioning into four auto-slayers that can be unlocked through requirements relative to the slayer type.
This structure completely eliminates variables that come with integrating enderman and future slayers requirements (nether update ) with the relatively easier requirements of zombie, spider and wolf slayers when using auto-slayer.
In difference to the other suggestions, utilising multiple auto-slayers for each respective slayer type also preserves the hard work of players that attained Auto-Slayer purposed towards grinding enderman as new/current players will also have to grind enderman slayer in order to use the enderman auto slayer.
What the proposed Auto-Slayer requirements could look like:
Zombie Auto Slayer Requirements:
(x = undefined number)- Zombie Slayer Level x
Spider Auto Slayer Requirements:
- x amount of Revenant Viscera (or other mob item)- Spider Slayer Level x
Wolf Auto Slayer Requirements:
- x amount of Tarantula Silk- Wolf Slayer Level x
Enderman Auto Slayer Requirements:
- x amount of Golden Tooth/Teeth (idk)- Enderman Slayer Level x
- x amount of Null Ovoid----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Anyways these hours of hard deliberating stems from me being pissed at the fact i've killed nearly 1500 revs (no warden heart by the way) with no auto slayer, so I thought "hey! not only would this convenience myself and literally every single skyblock player in existence, but a creative mind would be a lovely addition to my profile!". Anyways I have to study for my economics exam so deuces.
I personally don’t see why there should be requirements for something like auto-slayer. It just seems silly. I think that it should either be 100k total slayer xp if a requirement is wanted, or just don’t have a requirement at all.
