Reign of King Ngokang Filledterror

On the 8th day of the 6th month of the year 443 Ngokang Filledterror was crowned as King of the Bridge of Hair. He was 267 years old at the time of his coronation.

In the year 444 the goblin woman Em Malicelurked became the new boss of the Tan Doom, since Ngokang was now busy being a king. Em secretly kept close contact with King Ngokang during his reign.

King Ngokang also kept patroling the Released Hills in search for bandits every year of his reign. But the peace the kingdom has been experiencing for a while now will keep going for a few more centuries in the reign of King Ngokang.

In the year 445 Zuglar Bootchanneled was named the Baroness of the Keyequal hillocks.

In 446 King Ngokang made Datan Claspdrum the Baroness of Channelmist hillocks.

In 449 Mistem Rocksbells became Baroness of Blockstake hillocks.

Somewhere before the year 453, the former queen Usbu Seedfell was freed from prison and she adopted the faith of the Communion of Diamonds. The Communion of Diamonds is another dwarven-rite cult dedicated to worshipping the goddess Doren, but the rites themselves are different from the Lavender Communion.

In the year 491 Bembul Glovedcross became the Baron of the Yellrim mountain halls.

In 507 the dwarven woman Tun Daytrumpets received the title of Outpost Liaison after the death of the previous one, Fath Boardtempted.

In 522 Lokum Truthfulwinds became the Baroness of the fortress of Wheeledburns.

In the year 541 King Ngokang appointed a dwarven woman by the name of Rith to the position of Diplomat.

In 572 the dwarf woman Risen Channelworship was appointed as Outpost Liaison by King Ngokang after the previous one, Tun Daytrumpets, died of old age.

In 598 Baroness Lokum Truthfulwinds died of old age and was succeeded by her son Sibrek Gorgefondled. Sibrek became the new Baron of Wheeledburns.

At the beginning of the year 611 King Ngokang appointed Tosid Glazedraw to the position of General. The previous one, General Lorbam, had died of old age.

Also in the year 611, the former queen Usbu Seedfell became a priestess of the Communion of Diamonds in the fortress of Strappedgranite.

In 615 a holy temple to the god Ulmush was built in the fortress of Wheeledburns.

In the year 619 Nomal Lullwire became the Baroness of the Dwellercrystal hillocks.

Baroness Nomal: a tough, but unlucky mother

In the year 627 a weremonkey by the name of Loli Smileivory started plaguing the hillockses of the Bridge of Hair. Loli used to be a human from the Sweltering Empire, but he fled to the Hoary Nation after he was cursed by some human god for profaning one of his temples. Loli terrorized the sewers of the town of Ripejugglers for 6 years before he moved on to the dwarven kingdom of Sazir Razes.

Loli's first 2 attacks against Releaserim hillocks and Puzzlinglabored fortress were insignificant.

But in 634 the weremonkey Loli attacked Dwellercrystal, broke through Dwellercrystal's mead-hall and killed 8-year old Cog Floorevened. Cog was Baroness Nomal's son. Baroness Nomal hastily managed to get her hands on a crossbow and shot Loli in the heart right as the weremonkey was charging at her.

Thus the weremonkey Loli Smileivory was slain by Baroness Nomal Lullwire.

But Baroness Nomal was destined to be an unlucky mother. In 639 her youngest son Reg was slain by a bandit ambush during a patrol in the Released Hills.

After the death of 2 of her sons, Nomal would be outlived only by her eldest son Thikut and her daughter Kikrost.

In 649 Nomal died of old age and her son Thikut became the new Baron of Dwellercrystal after her death.

Back to what was going on with King Ngokang and the realm in general...

Despite being at the top of the kingdom and not having his authority contested by anyone, King Ngokang Filledterror couldn't let his old habits die. He kept scheming and drawing dwarven nobles closer to him by various methods: usually by his flattery or his charm, both tools which he sharpened over centuries of existence. Many of his councilors would die of old age pretty fast (from his point of view), so the King was frequently forced to name someone new, who he'd be forced to charm as well.

Many shady goblin characters appeared at King Ngokang's court over the years. Some of them were old friends, criminals from Faithfulhatches belonging to the Tan Doom. But the majority of these shady characters were goblin women who were charmed by King Ngokang... or by his wealth.

The romances with all these goblin females all ended shortly... But! There was one goblin woman that stuck around with King Ngokang.

She was someone who was once driven away from there... Someone who on paper had no reason to like King Ngokang... Someone who would sneak into the quarters of the King while his guards would turn a blind eye...

It was none other than the former queen Usbu Seedfell herself!

The year in which Usbu became King Ngokang's lover is unknown. What is certain is that the former queen managed to get into Ransackedlancers again as a weaponsmith, as Usbu quit being a priestess for the Communion of Diamonds. She renounced the Communion of Diamonds completely and became a humble worshipper in the Lavender Communion instead. In 613 she even joined the Dented Hall, the main weaponsmith guild in the capital.

It is thus safe to assume that the King might've met his old rival again while looking to buy a fancy new weapon for himself in the market.

In an unprecedented, unexpected move the former queen Usbu Seedfell was recalled to the court of Ransackedlancers and the King made her the new Baroness of Puzzlinglabored. Many interpret that the King made a huge gesture of reconciliation by giving Usbu the fortress. This happened in the year 633.

By the year 649, everyone was aware of what was going on between Baroness Usbu Seedfell and King Ngokang Filledterror.

Being goblins, their relationship was a tumultuous one. Oftentimes, the King and the Baroness would fight, break up, make up and become lovers again. But they would never permanently break up.

The second half of King Ngokang's reign was more challenging and just as full of surprises...
